Lead Designer, Illustrator - Contract
Gnorm the gnome was updated for the Revelstoke Mountain Resort to show his cooler side. The goal was to have his relaxed, woodsy personality shine through for today’s mountain kids. His character will appear on shirts, stickers and statues as he is Revelstoke’s loved mascot - he is in statue form and a favourite tool to measure the mountains snowfall.
I hand drew then inked so I could vectorize and colour the work for many applications from digital to silk-screened T-shirts.
The Revelstoke Mountain Resort team also requested an illustration that would appeal to a ‘harder/ edgier’ group of skiers and boarders. Understanding this group was pretty easy for me. I have many influences in my life - skateboarding, snowboarding, and bike culture. This was hand drawn then inked so we could bitmap and prepare the pre-press production files to silk-screen the T-shirts.
